It's just around the corner, that whitest of seasons. But some places are whiter than others. This is a sample, from near Calgary. On the otherside of several mountain ranges, winter is decidedly green. I like green.

One child's anquish is one balloon's freedom. We've all lost a balloon, watching it rise to meet the clouds. Do they make it? Or do they burst, falling to the ground as nothing more than damp rubber. Maybe the clouds eat them. We know trees eat kites.
