Caught in mid-move this fellow appears to be doing amazing things. Running from the cops? Off to a big sausage sale at the Forks? Or simply defying gravity? In 1/500th of a second, it can be anything you want.

All the ingredients!

All the ingredients!

The question is, what makes spending time in Belize so great? Well, the primary ingredients are simple: rum, hot sauce, local beer, and mango juice. Add sun, beach, and friends and you get a darn fine memory.

The first day of fall draws to a close on the North Shore. The sun is almost behind Stanley Park. Two cranes warm themselves in the fading light. Tomorrow will be another day of work.

Next to the international departure lounge, this is my favourite spot in Vancouver International Airport. I call it the "board of dreams". A list of things possible and places not yet visited. My favourite line? AC 880 to London. A fond memory now, a distant dream then.

Woof

There's an old prairie joke that goes something like this:

The land is so flat that when your dog runs away, you can watch him for three days.

There certainly is a beauty to the flatland that can't be denied. And don't worry. The dog will come home -- he's not a mountian climber.

It's funny. We are all different, yet we strive for this thing called normal. But what is normal, and how do you become it? I reckon you enroll here. But if you fail, are you just like the rest of us?

It's something we're all looking for. No, not perfect love. I doubt that exists, nor is it manufactured. Rather Perfecfit Love, which has something to do with your bits and pieces. Then again, it might just be about keeping your hands warm.

Looking down from a big jet airliner, I always wonder about the little ants (aunts?!) that scurry about. Where are they going? What are they thinking about? And here I am, looking up at a big jet airliner, wondering similar things. Where are they going? What are they thinking about? Are they thinking about me thinking about them?

Burton is the king of the Prairies - if there were one. I hear he owns Sals. I don't know if that's true. But after standing tall for all these decades, The Voice still has a presence you can't deny.

Sometimes you feel like you're going in circles. You think you're moving forward , and you realize that you've not gone anywhere at all. The truth of it is that you're right. It's just a big circle.

In or out? Up or down? Open or closed? Sunrise or Sunset? Winter or Summer? Sometimes a picture doesn't explain it all.

I stand watch over a line that is invisible. Where once there were fences, there is wheat. Yet I am of the utmost importance to those in power as I mark and quietly defend the Republic. Have you seen my ex-wife, Slovakia?

So the idea is this...

... over on Roadspill, I write about this and that. I also post images. But often, the images have little to do with the continuing dialogue. Recently, I saw a site where people wax about their photographs. I've done that a couple of times on RS, but thought that a dedicated platform made more sense. Hence, Imagespill.

Cheers!
